Our Roots

Ben Fishman has over a decade of experience in the construction industry, from building custom furniture to managing multimillion-dollar commercial projects. Ben finds the most gratification in delivering projects that change how people interact with their built environment and inspire their daily lives.
 
After graduating from the University of Kansas, Ben spent six years at a local design/build firm where he gained valuable hands-on experience in furniture building, cabinetry, remodeling, historical restoration, and new construction. Shifting to an international role, he spent three years working for an architectural and fabrication specialist, delivering projects in the Caribbean and Central America. He also worked on some of the most notable stadiums in the United States during this time.

His international experience continued during his years at a sporting goods manufacturer, managing hundreds of projects and delivering new products to the consumer market. During this time Ben earned a certificate in Project Management from the University of Minnesota. After managing multi-million-dollar construction projects for one of the largest electronics retailers, Ben made the decision to start Oxbow Projects.
